Celebrating new beginnings for Wordwoman Creative
Welcome to Wordwoman Creative’s website and my first post in a series I started on my Instagram page, from the desk of….
From the desk of…
What exactly is this series? It’s my way, as the founder of this little boutique copywriting venture, to share my thoughts, feelings, and insights on a variety of topics. This could include anything from updates about Wordwoman Creative to my journey as an entrepreneur.
My hope is that it creates a dialogue between us, as well as gives you a glimpse behind the curtain, so to speak.
My memory book from my senior year of high school
It’s the journey, not the destination
Oh, what a journey it has been so far. The dream of owning my own ad agency came about when I was in high school. I even wrote it down in my senior memory book, along with a few other wishes. My seventeen-year-old self had some thoughts and plans for what she wanted her life to look like.
It took me a little while, but I officially launched Wordwoman Creative as an S-corp in 2021. As hard as the process of being an entrepreneur has been, before 2021 and since, I’m so proud of everything I’ve accomplished so far.
My only regret is not having my parents here to celebrate this milestone with me, but I know they are cheering me on from above. After all, they were a big inspiration behind me becoming a copywriter and, finally, becoming a biz owner.
I know it might sound strange, but even as a fully grown adult, I still want to make my mom and dad proud. However, I’ve also realized that making myself proud is, if not more, important. And I am so proud of myself and of W+C.
I’m here for you
While I’m thrilled about making my dream come true, it’s not all about me. One of the biggest reasons I wanted to start Wordwoman Creative is to serve you and your brand. I’ve always loved beauty and lifestyle brands, but my enthusiasm grew for indie brands during my stint as a blogger. Seeing the ingenuity and passion indie brand owners had for their products was truly inspiring.
I love hearing about the why behind your brand, and I want everyone else to know just how fabulous you are and how your products can help them. This is what W+C is all about, making your brand the next big thing and helping you break through the noise of the indie space.
I look forward to working with you, as well as sharing the journey of W+C with you. I’m always here to help, so feel free to reach out with any questions you might have or to share your thoughts on blog topics you would like me to cover.
