At its most simple definition, The Spark Lab, part of The Creative Capsule Studio, is a creative workshop for generating ideas. In the ad world, we call them brainstorming sessions.
Offered in one-time or quarterly options, these 90-minute virtual sessions are designed for brands who want a little extra help:
Coming up with ideas for their next campaign, launch, event, product copy, etc.
Breaking through a creative block around their content or advertising strategy, which could be anything from messaging to the most effective way to engage their audience to take action.
Developing a brand voice and messaging that resonates with their target audience
Addressing a current challenge with your advertising and/or content strategy
These sessions can also be used to review existing strategies and messaging across your various platforms and tactics, or to address any other content-related struggles you may be experiencing with your emails, website, product copy, blog posts, etc.
How can my brand benefit from a Spark Lab creative workshop?
I’ve designed these creative workshops to help you brainstorm new ideas, offer problem-solving alternatives, foster creativity, enhance collaboration, and provide you with an outside perspective of a copywriter with 20+ years of experience.
My goal for you and your brand is to leave each session feeling invigorated and inspired to take action on the ideas we generated. To help with next steps, I will provide you with a recording of our session, along with an action plan that reviews our discussion and outlines the next steps.
Should you have any additional questions about the plan or the steps you are taking, 30 days of email support is also included as part of your Spark Lab session(s).
How does the Spark Lab work? What happens during and after each session?
Each Spark Lab consists of three phases: Research and Prep, Spark Lab Session, and Recap/Action Plan.
After you book your one-time or quarterly sessions, you will receive a pre-session questionnaire to help me learn more about your brand and the challenges you are facing or would like to discuss during your brainstorming session.
I will then review your questionnaire, along with your current advertising and content efforts, and conduct pre-Spark Lab session research to give me a clearer picture of your brand, audience, competitors, and potential tactics and strategies.
Next, we will get together for a 90-minute virtual session to discuss your challenges. Then, we will brainstorm ideas, strategies, and tactics to help address those challenges, prepare for an upcoming launch, and improve your current content, among other objectives.
Finally, after our session has ended, I will send you a copy of the recording, along with an action plan outlining recommended next steps, strategies, and tactics, as well as provide a list of resources, if needed.
As mentioned above, should you have any further questions, your Spark Lab session also includes 30 days of email support.

How much does each session cost?
The price for a one-time session is $450, while quarterly sessions cost $1,500 for four sessions.
How often can I participate in a creative brainstorming workshop?
You can book a one-time session as often as you like, or book quarterly sessions to use throughout the year, or a 12-month time frame.
What deliverables will I receive?
You will receive a recording of each session, along with an action plan outlining next steps, reviewing ideas, strategies, and tactics discussed during the call, as well as links to any helpful resources.
What if I have questions after my session?
Each session includes 30 days of email support to address questions or additional thoughts.
